Mary Ellen was such a wonderful soul! She spent her summers fishing for bass on Lake Opinicon and joining in many community activities in the area. To John, Mary Lou and the family we send our love and hopes that we all might live to such a healthy old age! And catch some bass as well!

John and family please accept our heartfelt sympathies. We are all saddened by the passing of Mary Ellen. Her many summers spent here, on Opinicon Lake, endeared her to three generations of our family. My father and Mother enjoyed her friendship for decades. Summer visits for my nephew, niece and daughter were not compete without the announcement "we are going over to Mrs. Kean's". She was their special friend who lived just a short walk through the fields.
To the kids she was a beloved cottage personality - always welcoming. To my parents a she was a cherished friend.
We will all miss seeing her fishing on lazy summer days, out on the lake she loved.

John and family,
I saw in the paper this morning that your mother passed away at the remarkable age of 100. By the account given, I can see that she led a rich and vibrant life with many interests and talents. A worthy role model for you, your children and grandchildren. I know that you will miss her dearly, but I expect that you will also remember, with joy, all the wonderful things that she did in her long life. God bless her.
It's been many years since we graduated from State High and moved out into the world; but I have thought of you fondly over the years and wanted to express my sincere condolences to you and your family on the occasion of your loss.

Count me among those who are grateful for Mary Ellen and the ways she impacted so many. I saw her almost daily for several years while parking at the Azzara house next door and while hunkering down there to write my thesis one winter. Always a fun visit over plants, trees, dogs, and all things happening in the seasons around us. And encouragement in my own studies and professional pathways. I am thinking of all of Mary Ellen's family and loved ones during this time of transition. With gratitude for the life of Mary Ellen and all that she's given our world.

I just wanted to let you know how much I love Mary Ellen & how much she ment to me. She was 1 of the sweetest woman I knew. I will miss her so much. I was so surprised & happy to see her that day back this passed year when I say Mary Ellen & John talking with Vince to come & live at Wynwood with us. She always had a beautiful smile when I came to see her in her room. I can hear her voice saying "Suzie is that you" I know now that she is healed & she is in the arms of Jesus & her family that went before her. We can know 1 this for sure that we have an ANGEL up in heaven looking out for us. God's blessings to the whole family. Also 1 More thing please be sure that when I have the time I will go visit Mary Ellen every Chance I can get. Love you. Thoughts & prayers to the whole family. Love Suzie
