I am a highschool grad, class of 1987. Mr. Griffin was a lovely man. I remember him offering me forgiveness and a chance when I was making a lot of poor choices in highschool. His choices and talks with me have rippled onward. I could have been expelled, but I graduated and went on to earn my doctorate years and years later. I remember him calling me into his office and giving me grace. I am sorry he has passed on and am sending love to the Griffin family.

I am so sorry to read of the passing of Michael. I remember all of you children growing up on Fifth Street in Towanda and I lived on the corner of Fifth and Pine.
I have wondered from time to time how all of you were and your paths in life. I now live in Luther's Mills in case any of you are passing by. Please accept my condolences on your loss.

I had the pleasure of being a high school teammate of Mike's. He was a great player, and a great example to us all. From reading his obituary, it seems that the drive and determination he showed in high school, never diminished. My condolences and prayers.

I spent more time in Mr. Griffin's office with a friend talking and working things out. He made a difference in both of our lives and I will always cherish how much he cared to make sure we were making the right choices. He will be missed, and has touched many lives.
