Obituary of Joseph Thomas Kusmierz-Mobley
On October 29, 2018, Joseph Thomas ‘JT’ Kusmierz-Mobley, 22, passed away at his residence in Norristown, PA. He was born on October 25, 1996. He was the eldest son of Melissa and Prince Mobley of State College. JT was a bright, kind, caring and compassionate person, who doted on his family at all times. He will always be remembered by his prominent smile and his gentle soul. He was an altar server for many years at Our Lady of Victory Church. He graduated from State College Area High School in 2015. He attended Penn State, Berks Campus in Fall 2016.
JT was an athlete. He played soccer, football, basketball, baseball and he wrestled. His proudest moments were placing 2nd in the 2012 Larry Fornicola Bellefonte Wrestling Tournament and in his junior year playing football at St. Joseph’s Academy, their first season building a football squad.
He is survived by his mother and father and his siblings, Lauren, Anthony, Dante, Devin, Deseray and Nia; his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801. Reverend Matthew Laffey and Reverend David Griffin will preside over the Funeral Mass, Monday, November 5, 2018, 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA 16801. Burial will take place following the Funeral Mass at Boalsburg Cemetery.
