We had the good fortune of moving just across the street from the Skipper family in 1975. Wendy and our daughter Susan became good friends and spent much time together at one another's homes. Bob got the two of them involved in marching in the Little German Band one summer, a memory Susan loves to tell.
Bob was always so friendly, gracious and kind. We were able to have a good visit with him just two years ago when we were in State College visiting Rick and Jennifer Jacobs.
I will always remember Bob was a "true gentleman" in the way he conducted himself and interacted with others. Not many hold that title but he did.
Wendy, we send our love and condolences to you and your family as well as to Scott's wife and two sons. We cherish our Ellen Avenue memories - the garage sales, making all of the Pom Pom People and other goods to sell at the Arts' Festival. I remember how hot it always was. Your mother and dad and the two of us kept keeping you hydrated by taking lots of water to your booth.

Wendy and family. I was so sorry to hear of Bob passing. Your father and cerra were very close to my sister and I are growing up. My mother and your parents we're Fast Friends from high school and we always spent Thanksgiving Christmas and Easter as a group. They were so gracious and helping my mom nearly 30 years ago when my dad passed that I can only say again how sorry I am to hear of his passing.

I knew Bob from Windjammers and the Repasz Band. He was always very gracious and a great musician. He was a joy to talk to, and with Charlie Quinn and Bob Manning made the Repasz Band a better band. My and my Wifes' Condolences to the family.

My first encounter with Bob was as young graduate engineer hired at Locus and assigned to work in Bob’s group; that was the absolute best assignment for someone beginning a professional career. Bob was always there to mentor, nurture, advise and assist those who worked with and for him.
I remember fondly our professional and personal relationship at work and church. He and Sara were always loving and caring individuals whom it was a privilege and honor to know. We were fortunate to see Bob at the Village several weeks ago and it brought back fond memories.
Our deepest sympathy and prayers to the Skipper family members.
May you rest in peace Robert Skipper!
