Mrs Berra H. Kriner is a person who will be forever carried in my heart. Ms. Kriner made me see my worth! She put a zeal in my to not settle for ordinary. She once told our class, “You want to be so great at your job, that you have the employers seeking for you to come to work for them”. That set fire under me! I’ve had an 2 job opportunities, where the boss sought me out. She made a difference and I’m sure every girl from Ms. Berta H. Kriner’s shorthand/typing class from the mid 80’s has a huge hole in their heart tonight.
Great Expectations should have been her middle name....because it is what she strove to do on a daily basis! A visually attractive woman, yet her inner confidence is what exuded from her. I think of the poem “Phenomenal Woman” by Maya Angelou showing the beauty with which Ms. Kriner lived her life.
Condolences to her family, friends, and all employees or students. We have truly lost a rare gem! Soon Ms. Kriner we will have that luncheon again.
