I knew Charles from the Hillcrest Church of Christ (as it was called back in the early 1980s). I would say his family name describes him perfectly.

I only just learned of Charles' death. IO knew him best from his visits to the PSU libraries and his passionate commitment to his faith. May he be in peace and joy.

Charles was my roommate at Muskingum College freshman year. I didn't realize he was a year older than me. Such a completely good person. Not a bad bone in his body. I sincerely hope he is at peace with his Lord at this time.

We remember Charles practicing his violin in the practice rooms of the School of Music. What a guy!

I first met Charles at the bus stop at College and Allen, and shortly afterward I moved into Addison Court and found out that we were neighbors! He was honest and "real", the way he talked about God, he shared part of himself, unlike others who hand out pamphlets and advertise for their churches, Charles was different. He was so sincere, he wasn't just sharing his faith, he was being himself, open and honest, and extended his friendship as well as his faith. I enjoyed listening to him and I have learned alot from him. He will be sorely missed. He made a positive impact on State College as he shared his faith and of himself, and he will be remembered.
