Though I grew up in Pine Grove Mills, and have lived here much of my life, I only met this brave and funny man a year ago last September 25th, on my mother's birthday. We formed an instant and inexplicable connection, and before that sundown, he brought me spaghetti squash and zinnias from his garden.
I shall always be grateful for this unusual and whirlwind friendship...I'm sad that it took 59+ years to meet my courageous and outrageous neighbor...but I'm glad that it finally happened.
