Our deepest sympathies to Kent, Stephanie, Phil, Sue, Laurie,Dean and their families.
Phyllis, a good chum to my mother, was a treasured family friend. As a teenager I was struck by her wit, thinking how wonderful it must be, to experience life through her humorous eyes. She was always there in the high school audience with my family at any performance I participated in. She even took a trip upstate with Mom to support me at our college communication arts festival That weekend as they traveled on many long country roads, to see my sister Karen, a freshman at Kueka, a funny thing happened. The area known for many UFO sightings, became better known for another kind of sighting in my family. A story, my mother who tells it best, I'm sure will share it with you. I'd still see Phyllis at coffee klatches. She recommended a lawyer for a closing on my house when we moved back to the Hudson Valley. I kind of remember how she described him. as someone young, good she'd seen around the courtroom, not too full of himself. Afterwards he was mentioned frequently in the newspapers, I'd hired a big shot for a closing, but to Phyllis,he was just that nice guy, not too full of himself. Her memory will always be with me.
