The years of our life are fleeting. Without intervention, we would all say goodbye to those we love, or they would say goodbye to us. Wonderfully, God has promised to intervene. “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3, 4) God will destroy death and remove the pain it has caused by restoring those who have died back to life. Yes, it will be like he wiped the tears from our eyes, when we are reunited with those we love. I am very sorry for your loss.

Aunt Marie was and is special in my memory. I remember how excited we Racettes were when we knew that it was arrival day for the Laplantes at their cabin in the Adirondacks. In spite of the fact that Marie was busy shepherding her clan after their hours long drive she always had a smile on her face for the arrival of her flock of nieces and nephews at the cabin. In spite of the doubling of her flock in a matter of moments ( I believe your clan added to our clan represents the true definition of a flock) we were greeted with hugs, smiles and a beautiful warmth. Favorite memories of growing up...
Later in life, when I was taking my first steps into a new career with the airlines, your mother and father were incredibly gracious in offering me a place to stay while undergoing training at LGA. That was wonderful, but as an added bonus, while staying with Jerry and Marie for a month, and while going to the training center at odd hours, there was always a warm homecooked meal waiting for me when I got back to the apartment. Aunt Marie made sure I was fed, even if I showed up at 1am!
She was a beautiful woman, and you are a beautiful family. Please, if there is anything I can do to ease your loss let me know. I love you all, and miss your mother's presence in this world!

Sorry to hear about your mother. A nurse is a noble job. She was very special to all who knew her and loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

God Made a Nurse
God made a nurse.
He made her heart brave, true and kind.
And like the mountain streams her mind
As crystal clear, yet swift and deep
As where its waters rush and sweep.
He made her hands strong, tender, skilled
Their touch with His own pity filled,
And gave to make his nurse complete,
A sense of humor wholesome, sweet.
God made a nurse. Thank God
