Dear Uncle Donald,
We were sad to hear about your passing but ever so glad that you could move on to your eternal life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. No more sickness, pain, or sorrow but one of happiness to be reunited with your loved ones who went before you. I will always remember your warm smile, teasing me about having dimples, and the many visits as a child growing up with you and the family where you would load us all into your station wagon and take us all over State College and PSU to show us the sites. It wasn't a trip without getting to see the Nittany Lion! You were so proud of State College, PSU, teaching ag at the high school, and attending baseball spring training games in FL. Jim and I are so glad that we had such a nice visit with you last year when we were in PA. Know that you are greatly missed.
Dear Aunt Audrey, Bob, and Mary Jo,
We send our deepest sympathy and are sorry we could not attend Uncle Donald's service. I'm so glad, Aunt Audrey, that Beth and I had a wonderful visit with you in December, and I hope that Jim and I will be able to get to see all of you on our next visit to PA (whenever we can make it back). This is where distance is hard. We will continue to hold you in our thoughts and prayers. May God grant you His peace and love always.
Love,
Linda and Jim

I was sad to learn of Doc's passing. He was my favorite teacher at State College Area High School. I learned a lot from him in my Ag classes and he was the one who helped me get my first job at Penn State. He was a wonderful mentor and was always there to help his students grow and be successful. I have many fond memories of our FFA trips and the times we spent together. He will be greatly missed. Gary "1961"

We will miss you, Uncle Donald. He was always a treat to be around with all his knowledge on sports, Penn State happenings, history, and more. You were my most favorite Uncle by far that we always enjoyed visiting each year. He always informed us each year what was new and what had happened in State College. It is a blessing that you are now in a better place and will be laid to rest in your favorite place, State College. Our condolences to Aunt Audrey, Bob, and Mary Jo.

We will sorely miss Uncle Donald and are eternally grateful for the years of happy memories and good stories of times past. I am really happy for the many conversations of our note comparisons on Cross and Conway ancestry, Civil War and Pennsylvania history and will greatly miss those calls. Uncle Donald was a man of honor, and possessed many values that make me very proud to have had him in my life. Our condolences to Aunt Audrey, Bob and Mary Jo and the many friends in his life.
