We remember Merrill as a patient, steady teacher for our daughter Ann. We wonder how much he enjoyed spending so much time cutting the lawn at the Golden Drive property that we bought from him and Charlotte. We enjoyed seeing them at Trinity Lutheran. Merrill was a fine man and will be missed.

Mr Snyder! He was my 6th grade teacher and one of my favorites!
Amazing picture but he always had that half grin when he smiled.
My thoughts with the family. Bryan I remember you too. Memories will remain.

Charlotte: I am currently in Florida (Snowbird) until the end of March BUT I was so devastated when I read the Sun-Gazette this morning to read about Merrill's passing. He was a great guy and you two were a wonderful couple. Merrill was always very gracious during the years I went to school with him, polite, well mannered, etc. Just a sweetheart to be around. Being an animal lover as I am, I will be sending a donation to PAWS in Lancaster. God Bless you and the family, Marilu

I am forever grateful for Merrill's guidance and encouragement when I began my teaching career at East Petersburg Elementary School in 1991! My thoughts and prayers are with Merrill's family and friends during this difficult time.
