To Glenn's Family,
The board of directors and staff of Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation were all saddened to learn of Glenn's passing. Glenn was a faithful member of the board of directors for 32 years. Restoration is recognized as the nation's first community development corporation, having been founded in 1967 by community residents, and then United States Senators Robert F. Kennedy and Jacob Javits. Glenn was a board member who did not shy away from hands on task. He drew a great deal of fulfillment from his work with the Restoration Capital Fund which provided access to capital for small and minority owned businesses. Just before his passing he was deeply involved in working with the world renown architect, Sire David Adjaye, to redesign Restoration Plaza which is known as the Town Center of Black Brooklyn and a hub for commerce, education and art. Glenn was also involved in other nonprofit efforts in Brooklyn including Brooklyn Community Services. His body of service to the borough will long be remembered. We are grateful to Glenn and his family.
Respectfully submitted,
Colvin W. Grannum

Glenn I am deeply saddened by your passing. I will miss you very much. I came to trust your judgment and wisdom as well as your advice always well thought out. I’ll miss the times that you would take me to my favorite restaurant, Peter Lugers to catch up and remeninace, such good times. I will always be thankful I had the opportunity to know you and call you friend. I will cherish your memory for years to come.
In friendship and sorrow. Love and Blessings

Glenn and his wife Denise were good friends to Cheryl and I. We enjoyed immensely the dinners we had with one another and the stories of PSU basketball. Glenn was always upbeat and encouraging. He will be missed by all those who loved him.
Sincerely,
Paul DeCusati

Growing up I had the privilege of watching my uncle at a young age; I got to see first hand what a great father, husband and mentor he was. A small thing like teaching me how to tie a tie at 12 years old was something I was proud to teach my son when he turned 12. So many great memories, so much love shared except for his love for the Lakers.
Unc, thank you and love you

Glenn Sharpe answered the call of Board service to Bed Stuy Restoration, and in doing so - he served all of us: community, fellow directors and staff.
For Glenn to lead in such a gentlemanly way, for so many years - we give thanks.
I am honored to serve Restoration, as a member of the senior staff, so it was my pleasure to meet Glenn and see him in action with the board. We proudly stand on his shoulders. Let us continue our work, so that he may be proud of us.
Sending condolences and prayers of unity to Mr. Sharpe's family and dear friends.

Mr. Sharpe's Family:
I am senior executive assistant to Colvin Grannum, president of Bed Stuy Restoration Corp. Since Mr. Sharpe served on our board, over the years he would call about board and committee meeting dates and times, tickets and contributions to our annual gala, and the usual logistics questions that arose regarding various events and doings at Restoration. So, our conversations were short, cordial and friendly-like. So, my remembrance of him is not the conversations, but how soothing his voice was. It was always a pleasure speaking to him because at the end of it, I felt like i had just spoken to a true gentleman with a very kind spirit.
My condolences to you all. Mr. Sharpe will be missed.
