The final klaxon has sounded for the Master Chief. He planed his life's course straight and true. He has now rested his oar and been piped in to heaven.
I will miss our morning conversations at Barefoot Bay's Nineteenth Hole about submarines and sea stories. He will be missed but not forgotten.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Syd's death. We were fortunate to meet both of you in FL a few years ago and we've enjoyed spending time with you over the last few Winters. Syd was such a nice, gentle, caring man with a great sense of humor and we will miss him.

Mr Brown was my second father!
He always made me feel like part of his family and even made sure I was always included in the family’s vacations to NH and day trips!
Mr Brown was always a hero to me a tall larger than life man who showed his family (and me) discipline, caring, and most of all being a wonderful person and father. I will miss him very much but I am grateful for wonderful childhood memories! My loving prayers are with the whole family! Much love Carol-Jo

Jill, we are good friends, but never having known his children I would like to extend mine and Peggy’s sympathy to you all. He was my leader, my mentor, and in our senior years my friend. A very respectful man. We solved a lot of the worlds problems together, of course no one heard us. On occasion we would talk of trying to start up that old submarine nuclear power plant we had’t seen in 50+ years. I bet he could have, too! A very Sincere man who will be missed by many.
