Ashley, I never knew you personally but I always wanted to meet you. From watching you ride on YouTube to your TikTok I always looked up to you. You made me believe that I can do it and anything is possible. You made it so far in your riding and I wish I could have seen you grow more and we all know that you would have been on the Olympic team. I wish I could have met you. Rest easy sweet angels. Ashley and Grady Had a amazing future ahead of them. It’s crazy how one second you can be having fun in life jumping and the next something tragic like this can happen. As the Mother of a now 32yr. daughter who has been riding since she 8yrs. old, my heart is breaking for all of you. How many times we hold our breath and pray every time they get on the horse and face that jump. How many times did I wish she had taken up a different sport. But she was hooked at that first summer camp. As was I as a teen with my first horse. How do you not let them do something that brings them so much joy and builds the strength, confidence and courage that we want for our daughters. I didnt know Ashley before today. My sister, Deborah Burka, is the patient coordinator at the orthodontist office. She was heartbroken to tell me that she was attending Ashley's service today. I know, from our family losing our 13yr. niece last year, that there are no words that will take your pain away. I will be praying for God to put his loving arms around all of you to help you get through this terrible time.
