George was a very friendly gentleman. He was one of my father's best friends through both ORL/ARL, the Reserves and retirement. I still vividly remember them driving together to the Altoona reserves and marching in holiday parades. Both were early plank-owners of ORL. I still have photos from the late 40's early 50's of the Moshannon Test Site. My mother and father always spoke highly of both Esther and George. After my mother's death, my father would regularly visit with them through Esther's challenging final years. George's ORL/ARL research and experimentation contributed significantly toward improving our nation's defense. Truly the passing of an era here in Nittany Valley. May he rest in peace with Esther.
