My condolences and thoughts to Web's family and especially Mike and Tim as seeing them on the softball field always keep fresh my memories of Web.
When we were kids, Web was the thought of as the "greatest" playground park leader and every kid wanted him. He ran the Sunset Park in College Heights and he would have to tell us that walked over from other parks that we had to register at our own park, but it never stopped us from being there. And he seemed to remember every one of us over the years even if we weren't from his park.
Again my thoughts to The Moriarta Family.

Web was a terrific man! He was a wonderful father, husband, colleague, and friend. He was my daughter's softball coach at PFMS. She adored him and learned many life lessons from him. Our family considered Web God's gift to us, as he was such an incredible coach. Every time that I would run into Web, he always told me about his family. He was so proud of Mike and Tim. He always said that Barb was his angel. And he always asked about me and my family. I will miss Web! I am sure that he is smiling down at us. I am certain that his message to us would be to keep smiling and that everything will be ok. R.I.P. - Til we meet again!

Web...an amazing man. I'm glad I had a chance to share time on his life. A strong happy man. A man that shared his knowledge and abilities with others. He coached my child and taught great values and high energy. A man with compassion and a unrelentless love for his family and friends. Heavy heart for the family, I wish you all the strength in the world to continue to pass along his strong Spirit throughout your children and smile with good memories on the times you feel sad. Peace Web...♡

I remember Mr. Moriarta fondly as a passionate phys. ed. teacher 20 years ago at PFMS. He was a great man, and it's because of teachers like him that I became a teacher myself. I am so sorry for the loss. RIP.

I'm very saddened to hear about Web's passing. I knew him several years ago when I lived in State College. He was always upbeat and genuinely sincere in his exchanges with me. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Mr. Moriarta impacted me in many ways as a teacher, mentor and coach. My time playing basketball with him at Park Forest was some of the most fun I will ever have. I am grateful to have known him.

Web was the first educator that really reached me as a kid. I will always remember how much he truly cared about the individuals he taught and coached. I will be in debt to the confidence he instilled in me from 6th grade on. Going to miss him very much.

Sad to hear this news of Mr. Moriarta... he was my Health and Phys Ed Teacher at Park Forest Middle School, but the first time I met him was at Hess Field near Boalsburg. All of the kids there watching would come to the go to huge field beyond the fields and play our own game while the adults played. He also kept up on what I was doing career wise and would post nice comments on my Facebook wall whenever I posted something work related. This was 2 decades plus after I was a student of his... Plus the high socks were killer. My condolences Mike & Tim, to your mom as well & extended family.
Regretfully,

So sorry for the passing of Web. His kindness and love for his students, players and others was a great example for all. I still remember all the times Web would buy treats for his students and players. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to learn from Web as I worked with him and we became friends.

So sorry to hear of Web's passing. Way, way back in the day in high school, Web was the cool guy and we local State College kids of that era would hang out with a group led by Web in his Buick station wagon playing the latest music of the day loudly all over town, the Char Pit, Hi-Way Pizza, everywhere. Some of my best summer vacations memories were running around with Web and looking for mischief - which we usually found. He'll be missed but those great memories will last forever, such a great guy.

The Arc of Centre County's, Nittany Employment Services was so fortunate to have Web work as one of our Job Coaches. His ability to connect with people was remarkable. Many of the people he supported in their jobs had also been former students. Web loved reconnecting with them. He was always so proud of the work he did here at the Arc helping those with disabilities be successful and independent adults. He impacted so many lives and he will truly be missed.
