Dr. Braithwaite taught me for multiple courses at Penn State. She easily became one of my favorite professors for challenging us, guiding us to perform our own research, and being such an impeccable role model. In every aspect of my career since graduation, I have used her and the knowledge she has provided. I would think of her often when creating lessons for my own students and to better the experiences for the ambassador animals I work with now out of an AZA accredited Aquarium. I cannot thank her enough for the woman she was, how fearlessly she asked what others did not, or how spirited she was in standing up for her beliefs and findings. The Penn State community will surely miss her. To her family, I send all my condolences.
