Dear Barbara & Family,
Dr. John Fisher saved my eyesight. As a nine-year-old in 1968 I was pecked in the eye by a robin causing the eye to loose fluid and severing my pupillary constrictor muscle. John put four stitches in my cornea and I spent that summer in a chaise lounge until it healed. To this day that eye is permanently dilated and light sensitive but with excellent vision. Most of the ophthalmologists I have consulted over the years have found it difficult to even locate the scar. Thank you Dr. Fisher. Over the years my parents became good friends of the Fishers and I express my appreciation for that also. Please accept my condolences. Walk cheerfully,
Greg Ziegler

I was very sad to hear of Dr. Fisher's passing. I always remember his kindness to me, my brothers and family through the years, especially including his helping John Jr and me on our grade school report on (of course) the eye. As well, we are indebted to his wonderful care of us. His passing seems something of a milestone as he will be greatly missed by us and by the community. Our heartfelt condolences to Barbara, John Jr, Laurie, Ken and their families.
Love,
The Lees (Kyu-Ho, Kimberly, Eleanor and Henry)
