Dear Marsha and Paul,
I am so sorry to hear the tragic news of Carter. I remember him fondly as a sweet, bright, and beautiful little second-grader at Holy Cross School. Love and prayers to you both at this most difficult time.

Carter was my son’s first friend when we moved to Syracuse, NY in 2002. The boys were in 2nd grade. I have a hole in my heart for the loss of an amazing young man. I am so sad for Marsha and Paul. There are no words. None that will convey the depth of grief I know they feel. God, please continually hold them in your hands. Amen

Marsha and Paul. I am so sorry to hear of Carters passing. I have fond memories of Carter as a young boy when he lived in Ithaca and came to Sayre with his dad. I love he was playing music as that was his passion. From reading about him he was very good at it, I had no doubt he would of been. There are no words other than if he knew how loved he was and how much joy he gave to others I wish that was enough for him. Heaven gained an angel. Fly high Carter. Much love.

Marsha,
I had the privilege of making music with Carter a few times. He was as sensitive and fine a musician as he was a person. My heart is broken and I will miss him. May peace come to you.

Dear Marsha and Paul,
I send love and condolences from Pittsburgh. Speaking not only for Pitt’s Music Department, but very much for me personally as a musician and teacher, Carter was - and will always be - a bright spirit in our/my musical existence. His willingness to perform with and for others, his generosity of spirit and his phenomenal skill inspired us. He returned every effort to assist and nurture by giving back to others wherever and whenever he was able.
These poor words are inadequate - please let me know if I can help.
