I just learned of Leon’s passing.
Please accept my deepest condolences.
I met him through my work at Centre County United Way.
He was an incredible, generous, compassionate, and intelligent man. I thoroughly enjoyed all of my talks and visits with him.
The world will be a lesser place in his absence.
Sincerely,
Tammy Gentzel

Jim & Carolyn Grove
To Steve, Patty, Eileen, and their extended families.
Really sorry we couldn't attend in person, but we are forced to take the current health crisis seriously. As a long time neighbor I can honestly say that the world is a little worse off now. Your parents were probably the most genuine caring people I've ever met.
So sorry for your loss, and wish the circumstances were different so that we could have paid our respects in person.

Dear Family of Leon Kneebone,
It is much much regret that we won't be able to attend the memorial service for our dear friend and colleague Leon Kneebone. The current public health crisis prevents us from attending. However, it must be said that Leon and his late wife Libby were two of the most gracious and kind people we have ever known. We will miss Leon's annual birthday celebrations, but we also know that he now celebrates with the Lord. Our heart felt sympathy goes out to all the Kneebone family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sincere sympathy and prayers to the family of Dr. Leon Kneebone.
I am a previous mushroom farmer (dad and I) from Utica, Michigan.
Met Leon in 1958 at a Short Course (Penn State).
Retired now but always remembered Leon.
He was a wonderful teacher for us Detroit area growers.
