I worked with Bonnie at Centre Community Hospital/Mount Nittany Medical Center while I was the hospital chaplain. Bonnie was kind, gentle, and throughly professional.

Dear Ron and Bonnie Jean,
I am so sorry to learn about the loss of Bonnie. I worked with her a number of years ago when she was teaching in the College of Nursing and ran the nursing center in Huntingdon. She and I became good friends and I so admired her soft and gentle nature, her extensive knowledge and skills, and her commitment to serving the underserved. We spent many hours together and she was always one of my most special colleagues and friends. I was so sorry to have lost touch with her and was just thinking of her a few weeks ago when I drove by your house in Park Forest. Please know how well she was regarded. I will miss her.
With sincerest sympathies,
Lisa Davis

Aunt Bonnie,
I will miss you so much! As my Godmother, you were certainly someone who touched my life during my childhood. I am especially greatful that my daughter Lillian was able to get to know you in recent years- those are special memories that she will always have!
Your gentle strength was always appreciated by those whose lives you touched.
I will remember always what you wrote on the inside of the book you gave me for high school graduation..
Be yourself, but be your best self. Pursue excellence and hold on to your dreams.
I love you!
Lisa
