Lori, I remember like it was yesterday, meeting your Dad in the mid-1980s (yikes!) when you and I visited your parents on Long Island. I was immediately smitten by his charm, wit and kind heart. I will never forget him ‘ushering’ us off on the train into NYC for the day, holding some brown paper bags. I could feel his concern for us (2 young girls in our 20s) as we headed into the Big Apple, but he emanated such joy and a desire for us to have a great time in the City! The beginning of a lifelong connection with him and Mrs. T (and your precious sister, Lee), which culminated in the 2 of them joining you, Kevin, Bethany & Jenna at my Wedding to Peter in 2004. I was so honored that they came to share in the most important day of my life and it brought back memories of my parents joining me at your Wedding to Kevin years earlier. Your Daddy was so special and his love for Christ so obvious. It was my privilege to call your Dad a friend and I will always treasure special memories of him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear of Gil's passing. I go to know Gil (and Emalee) through both State College Christian Church (small group) and ushering for Centre Stage. Gil was always very ebullient and had wonderful stories to share. I learned a lot from him. I had one final pleasure to talk to him on the PSU campus back in Oct when we both attended "The Book of Mormon." While you could tell he had some health issues, he still has that infectious smile and wanted to know how I wasl doing. A true blessing to have known him. Pat Buchanan

What a wonderful man. I met Gil several years ago at MERF Radio in Lewistown. He introduced himself as a "radio pioneer." We corresponded over the years, and from time to time, he would stop in for a visit at the radio station. God Bless you, Gil. I am happy you are reunited with Emalee.

Gil was a truly remarkable man. I remember him as always having an encouraging word, a quick wit, and a positive attitude. From what I could see, he never had a bad day. I will always be thankful for the time he met with my daughter as she was getting ready to start a job in sales. She was quite anxious and unsure about it. While I was not part of the meeting, I could tell he was excited to share his knowledge and experiences. I’m sure he also shared his enthusiasm and caring in the process. He will be missed by family, friends, and the other residents of Valley View who he also lifted up. Our sympathies to Lori, Kevin, and the rest of the family.
