Obituary of E. Keller

E. Eugene "Gene" Keller, 57, of State College, died Saturday, November 12, 2011, in Altoona. Born October 3, 1954, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Elwood E. Keller and Shirley Rimmey Keller, who survives. He is survived by his siblings James D. Keller and his wife, Cheryl W., of Avon, Ct. and Kimberly K. Hall and husband Kenneth F. of Lancaster. He is also survived by a niece, Madeleine Keller. He was a member of the class of 1972 of State College Area High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1977 in Business Administration at Penn State University. Gene worked for various businesses along the East Coast, but his true love was working with horses. He owned several horses, was a professional trainer and loved teaching both children and adults. He returned to State College in 2006 to assist with the care of his parents and to start a horse business. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in State College.
