Dick was a great guy and a pleasure to work with and for.
I’ll always remember his smile and laugh.
He didn’t suffer fools.
My sincere condolences.

Carol, I am so saddened to just find out that Dick is no longer with us. Just the other day I was cleaning out a file and came across a photo of Dick and me at the Reliance HOMECOMING sales meeting. I was wondering how you and he were doing.
Linda and I always enjoyed the times we were together with you and Dick at the many SNAME dinners, trade shows and as guests at your house with Ray Snyder and many other Reliance friends.
Dick was one of my favorite people at Reliance. He was focused on the issues at hand, quick to smile and always said
"Thank You". A true gentleman!
I never knew that you and Dick were blind dates. Linda and I were also blind dates. It is nice how some things work out for the BEST.

Carol and family My heart is broken. I worked for Dick for many years as his assistant when we were at Reliance. I remember every day he ordered the same thing for lunch in the cafeteria - turkey sandwich with mustard LOL. One of my fondest memories was his invitation to me and two of my children to come to Penn State for a football game. I also remember the two of you coming to Mentor High School to watch my youngest son play basketball. The two of you were so much more than work acquaintances. The world has lost an amazing man and heaven has gained a new angel. Deepest condolences from my family to yours

This is one of the obituaries that I knew that sometime I would have to deal with. I worked FOR Dick for 3 years while he was in Charlotte and at a corporate gathering he presented me with my 25 year watch (he was vp sales at the time) with the comment saying "I don't know how this guy made it 25 days let alone 25 years!", When he retired on a corporate video conference he said that he had been to every sales office in the company except Nashville because "Gerry Goffinet never invited me". He came to our wedding in 1967 and he and Carol were as good a people as I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. To Carol and family and all of his friends we have lost one of a kind and the world will be a little poorer for it. God rest you Dick, we love you!

Mrs Rostmeyer, I am so sorry to hear about Richard. It was truly a pleasure to help take care of him. So often we would talk about your family, PSU football, The Navy, everything. You and him will always be in my heart. God bless you and your family.
