Dottye was my sunshine the several years I worked at Elmcroft. I loved doting on her, both when I was a resident assistant and later when I worked in the kitchen in the evenings. When she resided at Juniper I'd visit her regularly, usually bringing my dog along. (Dottye often mentioned the collies she had in earlier years.) In the winter we'd tool around the inside of the building or sit in the dining room together, and in the warmer months we'd sit outside for a few minutes. I was always so impressed with her family's devotion to Dottye; you don't always see that when you work in the senior living sector. Dottye delighted me completely, she made me laugh, and she was a beautiful soul. My heart goes out to her entire family as they mourn the loss of this magical woman.
