Donna was such a sweet and calm presence in Pine Grove Mills. She loved coming over to see our dogs. Frequently, I would find her in our yard early in the morning "talking to them" or sitting in her garden pulling weeds, planting seeds, and just enjoying her time outside! She would sit down and talk to them at their eye level and give them lots of love. Sitting down outside seemed to be a way she felt most comfortable. Surprisingly, she was always willing to try something new--we would bring video games and puzzles over to keep her company when we were not around she would find ways to play games on her computer--sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't. Never mind that though--it's the way she continued to challenge herself that was the most inspiring aspect to me. Sleep well Donna--you and Roy are missed!

As a kid on Kirk Street (which for some of those years was Church Street!), Donna was my mom Marny's best friend, and the Ellenbergers our extended family. I am so grateful for the many years of friendship we've shared, and especially for the bond between two admirable women--Donna and Marny--that enriched many lives beyond their own. I'll never forget the sound of Donna's voice, the warmth of her hug, the strength of her love. May memories of Donna's well-lived life comfort all who grieve her loss.

I worked with Donna for many years ! She was our clinical supervisor and an excellent one. Most important was that she was not only a skilled nurse but a kind and compassionate person! She was an shining example for all of us! Donna was greatly missed when she retired. My prayers and condolences for her entire family.

Our sincere condolences to all. I remember Donna when she lived across the street from my family in pine Grove mills. My parents were good friends with Donna and Roy for many many years. I, myself, looked up to Donna as an inspiration to become a nurse. Her mother made me a nurses dress with a hat from Donna. I entered a Halloween costume contest in PGM many decades ago, with the dress and cap and won first place. I still have the dress in our cedar chest. Donna always greeted us with a big smile. She will always remain a spot in my heart and memory. May the Lord forever hold her in his arms.

I am so sorry for your loss. Knew Donna from the time I was a child. My mother and Donna's mother were friends and we all were members of the Episcopal church in Bellefonte. First wedding I ever attended was Donna and Roy's. She was always happy and lots of fun. Remembering her with love. Sandy Ranio

I remember Donna very well and most fondly. As a young doctor she was a nurse who was welcoming to me, kind to my patients and above all was an excellent nurse. It was a pleasure to work with her for many years. I am sorry to learn of her passing. However my memories of her I am sure are shared by many others. It was a great pleasure to have worked with her and to have known her.

I'm very sad to learn of your passing, Donna. You were a kind and generous sole. I'll remember your smile, your elusive sense of humor and how we would always exchange waves in the second pew, alter right.
