I'll always miss you and remember our times together fly-fishing and hunting. I will forever cherish our time together at Aberdeen Proving Grounds when you came to visit me before I shipped out for my tour of duty in the Iraq War. I still have some of the e-mails we shared together while I was deployed, and remember the love you showed me as your concern grew over many of the missions I completed. I love you Dad...thanks for being my father. -Love, Gerry

Mr. Dick was my high school bio teacher. Great teacher, very kind person. I went into a health-science field (geriatric nursing), never had any trouble keeping up in college, at least in part due to the foundation from Mr. Dick, and have never regretted that choice! My condolences to all. Christine Wanich Bradway, Bloomsburg HS Class 1975

Dear Dick Family...I am so very sorry and saddened to read about Mr. Dick's passing. I was one of his Biology II students his first year of teaching at BHS in 1968, my senior year. I remember him as very quiet and unassuming...but a good teacher; and I enjoyed his class very much. I thoroughly enjoyed reading his obituary...of what all he did, outside of the classroom. He obviously had a very full and enjoyable life. I will be keeping all of you in my prayers at this very sad time...and may you use all the precious memories you had with him, as a source of comfort. With sincere sympathy, Karleen Fetterman Smith, Bloomsburg.

First to all the family members of Gerry please accept my condolence's. Over the years as a member of the Twin Oaks Cabin I always enjoyed the time we had at meetings and the sport that both of Us enjoyed. Fly fishing was a passion to both Gerry and Me.
I considered Gerry a mentor If i ever had a question on insects I would send Him a picture of the insect and Gerry always responded and that happen so many times. I will truly miss the Man and think of Him often.
May the hardship now turn into wonderful memories forever!
Respectively,
Gerald "Gerry" Mroz

Thanks for sharing this Gerry! Dad loved to identify insects, mayflies and so many other "critters" living underwater in Penn's Creek. He really became an outstanding fly-tyer and enjoyed sharing his knowledge to those who cared to learn! He was a teacher to the end! - Gerry Dick
