I met Joel when he lived at Stayman Park Apts in Shamokin Dam, PA. He lived across the hall from my mother, Grace Koch, who was in her late 90's. They became good friends and as her health began to deteriorate, he would check in on her occasionally. Both he and Lorene were greatly missed when he moved to McAlisterville. He was a wonderful, caring person; most always wearing a smile. Lorene and his family have my deepest sympathy. Kathy Van Buskirk
