Pete was a good friend during his brief SC High days. His Dad's Fruit Stand was just down the road from my SC home. So we knew each other pretty well along with his Dad. I remember Pete always having a smile and always ready to have a friendly conversation. I remember him owning the car wash after high school and bumping into him often there. We later lost communication after I left the SC Area. I'm glad to see he had a nice, large, family. I'm sure his smile and good conversations never left him. The Carelas Family will always remember Pete and wish much love on y'all at this time.

I worked with Pete at State High. He was usually the first person to greet me every morning on my way into work. I have to say he was one of the friendliest people I knew in my 22 years there...always a kind word for everyone. My deepest sympathy to his wife and family.

I worked with Pete at State High and found him to be one of the highlights of my day. He was always so thoughtful and kind in holding the door, offering a smile and joking that I always carry too much stuff. He was wonderful at chatting with students and offering kind words. His kindness and consideration made him stand out and he'll surely be missed.

I met Pete almost 60:years ago while working with him at John’s Market on S. Atherton St.
We shared many experiences and laughs.
I always either waived or stopped to say hello at the school crossing.
RIP Petey

There were some fun times, time where we butted heads, and many memories where we laughed a lot. He will be remembered.
I want to send light, love, and peace to my mom, Mack, Annie and Katie for taking care of Pete until he went home, and all his children. He loved all of you.
