I was probably 8 or 9 years old when I found out the man I knew as Uncle Chip had another name Dean, I was shocked. It was always a good time visiting him and Aunt Glady because he had the best stories and always made it seem like you were one of his best interests when in his presence. I don’t know how he ever found time to visit with anyone else at the time because it seemed his time was devoted directly to me. To this day one of my fondest memories was an overnight stay at his camp I may have been 11 at the time, and waking up to a breakfast that no one person could ever duplicate including me, sausage, pancakes, eggs, fried potatoes and biscuits, cooked on a flat top cook stove everything was perfect. He has often been in my thoughts and forever will be during my days afield and he had a great influence in my love of the outdoors, he is greatly missed.
