I met Helen in 1976 as I began my career in respiratory therapy at Westmoreland Hospital. From day one Helen took me under her wing and treated me as if I were her son. She was friendly generous and very fun loving! I will never forget all of the great times we had and all of the great things we did professionally. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family.
Sincerely Dan Hopkins

Helen was a great friend and neighbor. She became a loved member of both of the Taphorn and Pencak families. We loved Helen and we will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Evans family.

Aunt Helen, as we all called her, was just so wonderful to those who grew up with Anisa and around the Makdad Family in Greensburg. Aunt Helen was full of energy and had a wonderful personality which could light up a room. I recognize just how blessed I was to know Aunt Helen. My deepest sympathy to John and Joe and all of your family. We miss you back in Greensburg and we certainly miss your mom.

I worked with Helen (and her brother) at Westmoreland hospital. We shared many laughs, but got down to business when the patients in CCU needed care. My sympathies to the family.
Sincerely, Darlene Nagrosky

I remember that Helen was a happy person with an infectious laugh! People would gravitate to her....I think it’s because they felt her love and joy. She had a kind and generous soul.
There is a huge void in the world today, but I know heaven is very happy to see her!
I am truly sorry for your loss!

Helen lived a wonderful life. We were so fortunate to know her from Grace Lutheran Church and our Greensburg connection. She taught Norma how to bake Kibbee. Our sincere sympathy to John, Lou Ann and the family
