I can't believe such a wonderful person as Effie has left this world. I will always remember her full of life attitude and vibrancy. The world will not be the same without Effie in it. In god's arms may you forever rest in peace.

So very sorry to read this... belatedly! Effie was sunshine and good cheer twice a year when she came by to deliver one of her gorgeous wreaths. She not only made my doorway look special, she made me feel special, too! I miss her!

To her children and Jim , I just learned she passed . Please accept my condolences. I have a lot of great memories of Effie . Rosalie and I moved to Pa. When Effie started her Tupperware franchise. Rosalie worked as her office manager until 1977 when we moved back to Md. Rosalie passed in 2021 . Jim if you ever want to call me that would be great. I’d love to hear from you. I am so sorry for your loss. Every time to this day, I always think about rhe Zuck Family when I go down Mc Kendree road. Your Mom and Dad were always so nice to my parents. I lost my mom in January of this year,so I know it is not easy. I know they are both in abetter place.

I was both surprised and sad to read that Effie Zook died, apparently quite suddenly. I attended a wreath making class of hers. Ever since then, I would talk to her when I saw her at the Grange Fair, or other fairs. She knew me as the other person from Centre Hall whose name began with a letter Z. What a special person she was, always having time to talk and always full of great ideas for using natural things in her designs. She will be missed by many. I had the privledge of working with Effie at Fox Hill Gardens. She was everything you said about her; Energetic, vibrant and had a remarkable greenthumb and knowledge of plants and herbs. It was clear that she had many friends because everyone that came to "the Gardens" knew her. She did alot for the business, organizing tours and special events. It was a pleasure working with her and having her for my friend. I will truly miss her and her wonderful smile and infectious laugh this summer. I met Effie over 40 years ago through a chance encounter. From that blossomed a friendship that endured over 40 years. She had the biggest heart of any person I've known and the energy of several! Effie was the definition of a loyal friend - the finest ever. I will greatly miss her but keep her close in memory . . .
