Obituary of Marjorie E. Florey
Marjorie E. "Marge" Florey, 81, of State College, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021, surrounded by her children at home after a short battle with lung cancer.
Born April 23, 1939, in State College, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Huey Lear. On December 24, 1955 she married Clarence N. "Sonny" Florey, who preceded her in death on October 16, 2016.
She is survived by six children, Rose Fritts of Julian, Barbara Rider of Julian, Deborah Hollenback and her husband Jeffrey of Wingate, Clarence Jr. Florey of Bellefonte, Thomas Florey and his wife Tracy of Spring Mills, and Carl Florey of State College; three sisters, Gladys Harmie of TX, Ruth Cockerham of SC, and Pearl Walker and her husband Tom of NC; two brothers, Robert Lear and his wife Barb of Philadelphia, and Lester Lear of Hughestown; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul E. Florey, on August 17, 1979; and three brothers, Theodore, William and Harry Lear.
Marge graduated from State College high school. She worked as a Press Operator for Murate Erie Electronics for 27 years before her retirement.
She enjoyed bingo, puzzles, knitting and sewing.

There will be a public graveside service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Pine Hall Cemetery, State College.
