Obituary of Glenna Stacey Wright

Glenna Stacey Wright, 89, of State College, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at her daughter's residence.

Born November 26, 1931, in Evanston, WY, she was the daughter of the late Floyd "Bud" David and Elva Snow Stacey.

She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Cõté and her husband, Maurice, of Greene, ME, Teresa Finke and her husband, Roger, of State College, and Stacey Wright and her husband, James Ashpole, of Howard; six grandchildren, Matthew Finke, Stacey Christensen, Michael Cõté, Michelle Tilton, and Tyler and Jacob Ashpole; and seven Great-grandchildren, Maria and Jane Finke, Theodore and Genevieve Christensen, Rebecca and Emily Tilton, and Rowan Ashpole, and a sister-in-law, Esther Stacey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Wintermote, Judith's husband, Stan, and her brother John Stacey.

Glenna graduated from Evanston High School in 1949. She worked as an Administrative Secretary for the federal government in the Department of Wildlife Management and Fishery Biology.

She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading books and "crime" was her favorite genre. She also loved animals and being outdoors. She spoke fondly of Evanston, Wyoming and her memories of growing up there.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 13 at 11 am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA 16801.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Grane Hospice, 115 Union Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602.
