Obituary of Lois (Judy) Llewellyn

A Beautiful Soul is Never Forgotten

Lois (Judy) Llewellyn passed peacefully in her home on March 26,2021.

She joined her husband, Albert J. Llewellyn, parents Eugene and Louise Hoy and sister, B. Joann Hoy. She was 92.

Judy was born in State College where she lived until her marriage to Albert, a graduate of Penn State College of Agriculture.

The couple moved often due to career advancements and Judy developed her interior decorating skills making every one of 18 houses "a home". She was a very active Mom for daughters Deborah and Dian and was a favorite of the Girl Scout troop she led and the many school and social clubs she participated in.

Judy doted on her grandsons, Max and A.J. and spent a great deal of time with them growing up and to the present.

Judy returned to State College after her husband's passing and spent 15 wonderful years in her home at Village Heights enjoying many caring friends, some dating back to grade school.

She was an avid Nittany Lion supporter, always ready for the game.

After her husband Albert's passing, Judy established a scholarship for the Penn State School of Agricultural Sciences in his name. She loved attending the annual dinners, last year was the 31st, celebrating more than 75 recipients.

She shared her gifts of love, caring, beauty and grace with many. An elegant woman with a fire inside.

Judy leaves behind a brother, Ken Hoy (Rosie) of PA Furnace, daughters Deborah Llewellyn (Rudolf Hecht) of State College, Dian Brown (Richard Brown) of Stevensville, MD and grandsons Maximilian L. Brown of Baltimore, Alexander J. Brown of Washington D.C.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Centre County Memorial Park.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the summer as conditions permit.

The best place to be is in God's hands.
