I will never forget Mrs. Watrous. Due to a family trip, I began the seventh grade a week or so late. I was terrified enough about starting Jr. High, and being behind the others made it more terrifying. Mrs. Watrous was both my homeroom and English teacher, and she took the time to help me settle in, get caught up, and become comfortable in my new environment. I remember the year in her English class as being full of a variety of challenging and interesting experiences. I now wish that I had taken the time to thank her before her passing, but at least I can share with her family what a wonderful influence she was on my life.
