Obituary of Ida Goodrich

Ida Elmira Goodrich, 98, of Sarasota, Florida, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at Heron East Assisted Living, Sarasota, FL. Born May 8, 1913 in State College, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elmira Tressler Bowmaster. On October 18, 1932 she married John R. Goodrich who preceded her in death along with her son John R. Goodrich, Jr. She is survived by four grandchildren; Lisa and her husband, Ron, of Sarasota, FL, Brad Goodrich, of Sarasota, FL, John Goodrich, of Plant City, FL, Christopher Goodrich, of Alpharetta, GA, five great-grandchildren; Allison, Jeff, and Josh Goodrich, of Plant City, FL, Connor and Catie Goodrich, of Alpharetta, GA, one great great-grandchild; Joshua Goodrich, of Titusville, FL, two nephews; Sam Parsons and his wife Pat, of Wallingford, Chuck Bowmaster, of Falls Church, VA and one niece, Pat Blesh and her husband, Ed, of Lock Haven. Ida was a graduate of Lock Haven High School. She was employed as a Lab technician for North American Refractories and was also employed by Lock Haven Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband were partners in Graham's Store on Allen Street in State College. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kelley Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery.
