So sorry Bonnie and family. Of course my memory is of Donnie taking me on the Ferris wheel at a local carnival when I couldn’t have been more than 4 or 5. God bless you and your family during this mournful time.

Don shared my passion for distance running and we had many wonderful long runs together. Without him I would never have trained for nor attempted to run a marathon. I will always be grateful for his encouragement, his friendship and his witness for Christ. Memories of him will follow me every mile from now on.

Bonnie and family,
Carol and I are saddened to hear of your loss. I'll always remember the many miles Don and I put in together running the roads of Centre County. He is the reason I started running in the first place and was the inspiration to push myself to run marathons. Don was a good friend and will be missed. We won't be able to travel up for the services, but you folks will be in our prayers.

Don was such a fine human being who lived his values m. I treasure the game nights, meals, the trip to the ELCA National Youth Gathering he chaperoned and his good natured teasing of this 'pumpkin pusher'.
With love Nancy Gable

Don was a special friend and confident for me in my role as the leader of the Pa Centre County Sports HOF. Don and Bonnie both worked hard in helping us in our success in recognizing outstanding sports people in Centre County. In the last five or six years Don had become one of my best friends!!

Our sincere heartfelt condolences to Bonnie and their entire family. Mr. Burris (Don) was the heart of BEA and BEA Wrestling!!! His humor and easy going spirit always made you smile........and oh the practical jokes the kids would play on him..........we would get all the stories when the kids got home from a wrestling trip or away match. He will truly be missed, but those wonderful memories will never be forgotten.

Don was part of the 2018 that I was blessed to be in. I felt weird given the stature of the people I was around, Don of course included, and though I knew him only a short time I could see clearly God's light in him. Such things always remain with you and I am a better man for it. God bless you and keep you
