The Watts Family sends condolences and our sympathy to your family as you miss and grieve the death of Ray. We have been delighted to be his (and your) next door neighbors for a few years now, and we have admired how your family came together to be with Ray and help him during his last year. I know you built some exceptional memories, even as his health was failing. Even in the chaos of COVID-19 and the daily curve balls that were coming you way, it seems that you resolved things only the way a family can, when it comes together. We remember Ray as a cheerful and friendly neighbor who always smiled and waved. Sometimes, we had a short conversation. When he was still driving, we remember Ray going out most every day (maybe for coffee, lunch or Mass?). On his return, he was very good an maneuvering his Nissan so he could get the mail. Even at his 90th Birthday party, he was a sharp and attentive host! We we blessed to know him. We have plans to plant a tree in his honor, between our houses as a tribute.

Barb Bernard posted a condolence

Deepest sympathy from the Bernard's. Ray was a dear friend of my parents Madaline and Jack. I am sure they will be watching PSU games together in heaven. He was also a dear friend of the Bernard kids and cousins who so enjoyed times with him in State College. Ray's obituary captured his essence-he was kind, warm, caring and fun. I was so blessed to know him and have great admiration for him.
Sending love,
Barbara Bernard

Julie Gherardi posted a condolence

Our deepest sympathies to the Nargi family. Ray was a very kind and generous man who welcomed us into his heart and home while our sons attended PSU. We will always remember our conversations, shared meals, and excitement about “the games” (PSU football and Yankees baseball). So glad we got to celebrate our son’s wedding with Ray in 2015. We love you, Ray. Rest In Peace. Julie and John Gherardi
