Deb was one of the first people I met after moving to WB from Newport, RI. She invited me to her family’s lake house on several occasions and was one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing at Meyers. Condolences to the family and a huge thank you, Deb, for reaching out and helping me adjust as a struggling sophomore. Rest easy girl!

While I only came to know DJ in the last several years working on her and Ned's home renovation, it was long enough to know that she was extremely kind and thoughtful. She always made you feel welcome and appreciated. She also made the best breakfast burritos that I got to enjoy on several occasions working at their home! We are very sorry to learn of her passing, truly a wonderful person. Ted, Vicki and Dozer Brown

What a lovely memorial to a very special woman. If you didn't know DJ, after reading this you probably wish you did. She was such a good friend to so many and she will be dearly missed. DJ enjoyed sharing quotes and this one by Helen Keller seems perfect right now: 'What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.'

Wow- what a tribute to an amazing lady. I am so lucky to have known Deej as I was growing up. Her and Ned spent many Christmas Eves with us. They were extended family in every way. She was one of the kindest people I have ever met. The love between her and Ned was one of the strongest I have ever seen. You will be missed Deej. We love ya. Amy (Middlesworth) Smith

The beautiful tribute to this lovely soul captured the full essence of DJ. I am proud and so glad to have known her, and to have been in her kind, intelligent presence when i was in PA. Rest easy dear one.
