Obituary of Lillian C. Brilhart
Lillian Brilhart, of State College, PA, passed away after a brief illness on May 19, 2021 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born Feb. 19, 1927 in Littleton, West Virginia to Okey and Mabel Cross. She married in October 1945 to John K. Brilhart of Johnstown, PA (1928 - 2005). The couple had four children including Susan (1947 - 2012), Beverly Ibanez of Oldfield, MO, John Gifford Brilhart of Higbee, MO, and Keith Daniel Brilhart of Mountain Grove, MO. She is survived by her brother Ralph of Batesville, AR. She has six grandchildren, Holly Marie Keller, Bryan Keller, Jennifer Atkins, Zachary Brilhart, John Brilhart, and Richard Kristianto. She has five great grandchildren including Sagi and Kenny, Evie and Hugo Atkins, and Lewis Brilhart.
Lillian was a person who enjoyed the community and could be seen engaged in various activities. While she would like us to remember her singing in the State College Choral Society and the early days of the Boal Barn Playhouse, she also was a volunteer at Mt. Nittany Medical Center for 15 years, was a member of a senior workout group at East Coast Fitness, took courses ranging from furniture making and upholstery, and took art classes in both two dimensional and three-dimensional arts. She created a number of pieces of furniture and a precious rocking horse that her grandchildren enjoyed.
Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m., on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College.
Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College. Online condolences and signing of the guest book may be entered at www.kochfuneralhome.com.
