Obituary of Linda T. Dreibelbis
Linda T. Dreibelbis, 68, of Pennsylvania Furnace, died suddenly on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
Born July 12, 1952, at the Philipsburg Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Stephan and Arleen (Mosley) Tokarchick of Belsina Mills, PA. On June 18, 1976 she married LeRoy Edgar Dreibelbis, Jr., who survives.
Also surviving is her only child, Issac Hunter Lee Dreibelbis of Pennsylvania Furnace and her beloved grandson Parker Alan Martain-Dreibelbis; and sister, Ellen T. Kovalick and her children (Aleksandr, Aubree, Stephan, Anzin) of Madera. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Tokarchick.
Linda was a 1970 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School. Not too long after graduating high school, Linda moved to State College, PA. There she found her career in dentistry, and committed most of her adult life to helping people with their dental care. She worked for Dr. L. Robinson, and then after his retirement, his son, Dr. J. Robinson at the company office located where the State College Borough building now resides on S. Allen St. After working there for 20+ years, Linda made a decision to work the remainder of her career as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant in Pediatric Dentistry for Dr. John Kelly and his various associate Drs. at Pediatric Dental Care of State College, PA. for 25 additional years. Upon retirement she worked part-time for Bright Star Home Health Services.
Linda was the world to her family, especially her beloved grandson Parker. Together they enjoyed everything from board games to movies to the outdoors. She was the best mother that a boy could have to her son Issac, and a dedicated wife to her husband LeRoy. She stood faithfully beside her husband and son during their countless times of need without hesitation and brought them strength, inspiration, faith in God's teachings, and hope. If there was ever a person in need, Linda would give selflessly of her time to help anyone. She had a passion for writing children's books, and upon retirement, worked on several different projects. In addition to writing, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, and drawing.
Linda was as faithful a Christian as someone could be, and was a member of the St. Peter's United Church of Christ where she served as an Elder and also Vice President of the Consistory. Linda had also been the Sunday School teacher at St. Peter's Church throughout the 1980's and 1990's, as well as a member of the choir at times. She never missed a Sunday at church, ever. Linda lived her life as the Bible suggested, and derived her strength from her faith in the Lord.
Linda loved her family and friends unconditionally, and had an admirable devotion to those around her. She left this life completely unexpectedly, and will be sadly missed by all that knew her. A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at St. Peter's United Church of Christ at a later date as per the family's request. Arrangements will be announced when complete.
Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 1795 W. College Ave, State College, PA 16801.
