Obituary of Janet L. Beaulieu
Janet L. Beaulieu, 93, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully Friday, May 21, 2021, at home, with the love of her family surrounding her.
Janet was born February 5, 1928, in Crestline, OH to Austin & Martha.
Janet married the love of her life and best friend, Paul Clifford Beaulieu, on November 2, 1947. In 1960, they moved with their children to State College, PA, where they put down roots, building a beautiful home and life together. Janet worked as a secretary for 20 years in the Penn State University College of Science Physics Department before her retirement in 1987.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Janet. She loved gardening and taking walks in nature, her greatest passion however, was her family. Janet's children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of Janet's kind spirit, adoration for the outdoors, love of puzzles, and all around zest for life will forever live on through them.
She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her three children, Paula S. George and her husband John of Mechanicsburg, Renee J. Conner of Kailua, HI, and Marc R. "Rob" Beaulieu and his wife Sue of Punaluu, HI; two sisters, Ruth Van Vliet of Chillicothe, OH, and Connie Baker of Avon Lake, OH; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Paul Beaulieu; two sisters, Carol Grutsch of Laurel Wind, OH & Jean Cahill of Avon Lake, OH; and her parents: Austin & Martha Reed Robinson.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Boalsburg.
Graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Monday, June 7, 2021 at Boalsburg Cemetery with Pastor Brett Book officiating. A Celebration of Life with meal (open to the public) will follow at 6:00 pm, Monday, June 7, 2021 at the family home, located at 151 Simmons Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial donations made in Janet Beaulieu's name to Grane Hospice Care, 1200 Camp Hill Bypass (Suite 205), Camp Hill, PA 17011.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Grane Hospice Care, specifically Erin, Megan & Keith, for their care and compassion during the last stages of Janet's life.
