I am so sorry to hear of Sue's passing. She was such a force for good in this community - organizing youth soccer for so many years and then keeping Tussey fun for skiing for all of us. She was like the great playground coordinator for this area. I will miss her warmth and friendliness. Blessings to her family and friends.

Whether it was on the soccer field or on the slopes, i always enjoyed seeing and catching up with Sue over the past 20 years. My sincere condolences to her family at this time. Sue's work in youth sports and recreation here in State College were a wonderful contribution to our community and appreciated by so many. Thank you!

Dear Matalavage Family:
We grieve the loss of Sue with you and many of those who knew her as the most upbeat and cheerful soul. There could be clouds in the sky and Sue would tell you that a rainbow will soon be there.
We are reminded in our family of the excitement Brandon and Marisa had when the snowflakes first appeared outside our kitchen nook at mealtime. We will be skiing soon at Tussey Mountain they would say. And as sure is the snow appeared, we were greeted by Sue and welcomed for another year at the slopes in Boalsburg, as many school aged toddlers also began their first steps around a pair of skis.
This was a Matalavage family affair to operate the activities and prepare everyone for a winter of fun, while most knew little of the hours of dedication and effort. Our family salutes you Sue Matalavage for your passion and stronghold in the community.
We hope in the coming days, months and years Tom you and your children may find peace and solace. Our community and friends will keep you in our prayers, as we will never forget that memory of Sue when we think of Tussey Mountain. May God bless you and keep you.
