I was very sad to learn of Dr Rambeau’s passing. In the 1980s I took several literature courses with him. He was so brilliant, so kind, such a wonderful exciting teacher.

This beautiful photo explains why it is so hard to accept that Jim has passed away. The Selzers will always think of him as super smart and super caring. He always displayed the perfect mix of raw brains, practical wisdom--and wit. He could perceive the imperfections of the world without becoming a cynic; instead he threw his heart (and smile) into trying to make things better in a million ways. No wonder he had an exemplary life so worthy of imitation. And no wonder that his loss is profound.
