Masume and family:
There are no words to adequately express the sadness we felt when we learned of UB's death. Life is too short to get in all the things we plan to do later. Our time together was limited, but the impact was meaningful. He will live on in our memories. He sent pictures of our 4-H Ambassador time together recently, and now it seems like a premonition. Love to you and the family and many friends who were touched by his hand.

UB was a good neighbor and a friend to all. I will miss him and his constant efforts to improve the community. He was always working to improve Centre County and Pennsylvania. It will take several people to fill his shoes.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of U.B.'s passing. I had no idea his health had declined. We were friends while we were both with Penn state Extension. U.B. sort of took me under his wing and together we created and started the first Pennsylvania 4-H Ambassador Conference at Penn state. We worked together on that for several years and many other citizenship related youth programs.
He always remained a friend and I enjoyed his funny messages and sense of humor. My heart goes out to his family and friends who will miss him as will I. May the good memories sustain you all. Rest in peace my friend.
