Sherry took great pride in Shannon's many accomplishments as a student - Sherry shared in the academic excellence, Karate black belt, Quiz Bowl wins, Rugby games, and more. Through our daughters, Sherry became my valued friend too. I remember Sherry as an extremely supportive mom whose pride only grew as her daughter became that math teacher who could prod and pull her often under-resourced students through the most difficult of problem sets to achieve college credit for calculus. Sherry loved coaching writing but rejoiced that her daughter was so highly capable in all areas. Because Sherry was vivacious and always smiling, the two were often mistaken for sisters. Sherry leaves a considerable body of great works in her writing, and in Shannon, Alyssa and Fletcher.
