Obituary of Carol Lynn Barger-Harvie
Carol L. Barger-Harvie, 57, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Port Matilda and Sunbury, died Monday, August, 23, 2021, at her residence.
Born May 25, 1964, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of Patricia A. Cramer Barger of State College and Donald W. Barger of Accident, MD.
In addition to her parents and step-mother, Lucia Barger, Carol is survived by her loving husband, Andrew J. Harvie of Naples, FL; two children, Tye Bird and his girlfriend, Jen Jones, of Port Matilda and Taryn Patricia Hudson and her husband, Cody, of Morgantown, WV; two brothers, Ronald Barger of Tyrone and Donald Barger and his wife, Lisa, of Northumberland; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and special canine companions, Zepelinna and B. B. King. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Marion Witherite Barger, by her maternal grandparents, Harold and Ruth Cramer, and by her first husband, Terry Bird.
Carol attended Shikellamy High School in Sunbury and she completed coursework at Penn State University. Carol was most recently employed as a companion and caregiver for the elderly. Prior to living in Florida, she was a professional painter. She was a member of ABATE of Naples, a Christian motorcycle group. She was an avid and creative gardener and enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with her husband.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the State College Assembly of God, 2201 University Drive. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., at the church with Pastor Steve Silliman officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
