Obituary of Betty Jane Poorman

Betty J. Poorman, 90, of State College, died Monday, September 13, 2021, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born February 22, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Jackson Stover. On October 30, 1948 she married Kenneth S. Poorman, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2017.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Jean Poorman of State College; one grandson, James R. Weller; four great-grandchildren, Devon, Christian "CJ", Brittany, and Angel; and one great-great granddaughter, Nova. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Ann Weller, in 1977.

Betty attended Pine Hall Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be 10am-12pm Friday, September 17, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will follow at 12pm at the funeral home with Reverend Susan Williamson officiating.

Entombment will be in Centre County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
