We are so deeply sorry to learn of Barbara's death. We met Barbara through singing, of course! Reno Exchange, Reno Philharmonic Chorus, Our Lady of Snows...Barbara was always so full of positive energy and seemingly unstoppable good humor. She was also generous, particularly with her time and talents. What Kitty Falcone said: she is missed in the Far West. May her memory be a blessing. Marcia & Chuck Growdon, Reno, Nevada

Barbara had been my friend for over 30 years through our shared love of singing. I sang with her in the Reno Catholic Diocesan Choir, the Reno Exchange jazz group, and the Reno Philharmonic Chorus. She was one of the most genuine, loving, kind human beings I’ve ever known. We had so many great rehearsals, performances, laughs, and sharing of stories together, and I just can’t quite believe she’s gone. The world is a darker place without her in it. My deepest sympathies go to her family and friends on the east coast. Know she is greatly missed here in the west.

I had only one opportunity to meet Barbara, but her welcoming spirit was so immediately apparent that I just said “hi mom,” and she beamed. Not only had I heard a lot about Barbara from her daughter, but I feel her legacy of non-judgmental love and acceptance lives on through Cathy. Barbara was a true force of nature, and my heart goes out to all who will miss her.
